Science Grade 4

In Elementary Science Grade 4 course, learners explore topics in earth science, life science, and physical science, recognizing that God’s hand is at work in the world around them. Students engage in science and engineering practices by asking questions, defining problems, developing and using models, planning and conducting investigations, and analyzing and interpreting data. During their investigations of scientific concepts, learners use mathematics and informational technology, construct explanations, design solutions, engage in scientific arguments using evidence, and communicate results. Students come to understand there is evidence of a fallen world around them and understand how God remains faithful as He cares for His creation. A framework of active learning supports and allows students to engage, explore, explain, elaborate, and evaluate throughout the course. This dynamic format also helps students build a biblically accurate understanding of God’s Earth from hands-on experiences and discovery of new ideas.
