MS Language Arts 1

Learn to write like a hero. Using a motif of heroes, helpers, and hope, students in the MS Language Arts 1 course learn to recognize the value of written communication for helping others and offering hope. By emulating the character of Jesus Christ, students are encouraged to be heroic and effective in their writing of narrative, informational, and argumentative pieces. They become critical readers and thinkers as they evaluate the fiction and informational texts they read in this course and throughout life. Students learn to present their ideas clearly and cohesively while acquiring the reading, writing, language, and speaking/listening skills necessary for success in college, career, and beyond.
